I feel that is an issue with game controller handover from Windows. My guesses: first, the Saitek should not be registered as a Steam controller. Going through the options in Steam VR, I found the Saitek has been registered as a Steam Controller, but I can't change any settings (except controller mappings - see next paragraph), nor remove it from the list of controllers (the option to remove a Steam controller from the list while it is still connected seems like an illogical notion to the devs ) But I use the Saiteks for Flyinside FSX, so there's a dilemma.

I already suspected a connection between symptom and Saitek hardware, since I get a reaction when I press Button 2 on the Yoke (sometimes registered as proper selection). I'm using another Saitek product (Pro Flight Yoke and Rudder pedals). A burst of rapid clicks may produce a proper selection. Instead an arrow keeps flashing where the Vive contorller's target "beam" touches selections.
